ABOUT US

We built this for ourselves, so we could share it with you.

The funeral industry has been coasting on "this is how it has always been done" for decades. Suppliers print mediocre catalogs, ship average products, and build half-finished platforms because they have never had to compete. They have never worked a removal at 2 a.m. They have never sat with a family who did not know what they wanted. They have never felt the margin squeeze as cremation rates climb year after year.

Billy Scott and Aaron Scott have. They are fourth-generation funeral directors who currently operate six funeral homes serving close to 15,000 families a year. Josh Koerber is the architect behind the platform, the brand, and the systems that power the entire operation. Together, they stopped asking suppliers for better tools and started building them. They designed the platform for their own funeral homes first, tested it in real operations, refined it through daily use, and only then opened it to partners. Every feature exists because an operator needed it, built it, and proved it worked.

The People Behind the Platform

Funeral directors, operators, and builders who got tired of the old way and decided to do something about it.

Josh Koerber

Co-FOUNDER

Josh Koerber is a co-founder and the architect behind the platform's brand, design, and customer experience. He grew up in the jewelry industry, later sharpening his skills inside marketing and web development agencies. He now owns VYTL, a digital intelligence agency built specifically for the funeral profession.

His career has been built on one principle: every interaction a customer has with your brand should build confidence and trust. That principle drives everything Magnolia Memorial delivers to its partners and their families.

Billy Scott

Co-Founder

Billy Scott is a licensed funeral director with more than two decades of active practice and the President of Scott Family Services, the parent company behind Magnolia Memorial Marketplace.

He served as Clark County Coroner from 2017 to 2024, served as President of the Indiana State Coroner's Association in 2023, and continues as Deputy Coroner today. That operational experience is the foundation Magnolia Memorial Marketplace was built on.

Aaron Scott

Co-FOUNDER

Aaron Scott is a licensed funeral director with over 20 years of active practice, the current Clark County Coroner, and District 8 Director on the Indiana Funeral Directors Association Board.

As Vice President of Scott Family Services, he helped build Magnolia Memorial Marketplace to solve the operational problems his own team faced every day. When funeral home owners ask if Magnolia understands this work, Aaron's answer is simple: we do it too.

Mandi Noonan

account executive

Mandi came to Magnolia from a background in consulting and pharmaceutical sales, where she built community relationships and solved problems that required both strategy and genuine care.

At Magnolia, she works directly with funeral home clients to make sure families are well supported, and builds external partnerships with referral organizations so they have complete confidence when sending a family to a Magnolia partner. She brings the same attention to detail that funeral professionals bring to their work every day.

Erika Evans

Account executive

Erika spent years working alongside funeral homes before joining Magnolia, supporting product programs, pricing, logistics, and client relationships across multiple regions.

She helps new partners get set up, works through pricing and product needs, and makes sure there is always a real person available when something matters. She knows how fast decisions move in this industry and how much a smooth operation affects the families at the center of it.
